review: colorverse interstellar space

Here's another ink from the Colorverse Voyager 1 set!
Interstellar Space is one of the four inks in the Colorverse Voyager 1 collection. I talked about this limited edition set in my review on Colorverse Pale Blue Dot. In sum, it includes four inks that celebrate the Voyager 1 expedition.

It comes in a set of four, 15 ml bottles. There's also a bunch of stuff that comes with other Colorverse sets: stickers, pamphlets, and more.

Colorverse Interstellar Space is a mossy green color.
For information on how I do my reviews, please visit my policy page.

I had some trouble with this ink on my normal testing notebook. I'm pretty sure it absorbed some hand oils or something; my nibs were all skippy and couldn't seem to get a good "grip" on the paper. Hopefully it was just this page!

It looks like I forgot to do the water test here, but I promise that's what Interstellar Space looks like after having water dripped on it! It almost didn't budge.

This ink takes a bit longer to dry than most on Kokuyo MIO paper. It was nearly there at the 45 second mark, smudging ever so slightly.

There's no shading or sheen at all.
On Tomoe River paper, it's much the same story. There's no shading or sheen. It's quite a flat, matte color. Also look at all those mistakes I made writing out the same sentence I've written for like, six months. Phew.
I compare Colorverse Interstellar Space to a few other dark greens that I own. It's pretty similar to Pelikan Edelstein Olivine, a limited edition color. De Atramentis Dark Reseda is a little less saturated. Diamine Salamander is more of a khaki green.

I like Colorverse inks, as I'm sure you can tell by how often I review them! I likely won't purchase a full set, but I certainly wouldn't mind one as a gift.

Where to buy

I received this sample for free as an employee at JetPens.
