stickers, washi tapes, and more iii: 10x10 (iconic, dailylike, rihoon, etc.) - ink between the teeth

stickers, washi tapes, and more iii: 10x10 (iconic, dailylike, rihoon, etc.)

One of the great joys of working at a stationery retailer is that you're surrounded by people who are just as obsessed with stationery as you are. Last month, I joined my coworkers in making a big order from 10x10, a Korean online retailer. I got stickers from Iconic, DailylikeRihoon, as well as some smaller indie artists.

The final order ended up being surprisingly inexpensive: I got fifteen sticker sheets for about $24. Wild, right? Though I will say that my coworker (who wanted to get several blind boxes) generously split up the shipping cost by weight, which probably helped quite a bit.

I took pictures of all the sticker sheets (some of which have been used, because of course I didn't get around to making this post fast enough) with links to them if you're interested in purchasing yourself. I will note that the 10x10 website is incredibly slow and it might take a couple of minutes for the page to load—but once your first page loads, browsing the site goes much more smoothly.

The Iconic Cafe sticker sheet.

First up is the Iconic Cafe sticker sheet! I love the little scene in the middle with the cat and dog at a table. I don't go to cafes as much as I used to, but with any luck the current unpleasantness will die down (said grimly yet optimistically). I also wanted to get the Park one, but unfortunately it went out of stock while we were working on making our order. I guess that's just a sign that we'll need to make another order.

The Rihoon Brunch and Bakery sticker sheets.
I've spoken about the difficulty of using small stickers in A5 journals before, which is not really a problem as much as it is a minor annoyance. I picked up these large stickers from Rihoon, which have stickers as large as an inch in length. You obviously don't get many stickers per sheet as with smaller stickers, but they're much more prominent and, I would say, easier to use without individual stickers getting lost on the page. The two I got were Brunch and Bakery.
Sticker sheets from Dailylike. From left to right, top to bottom: Night, Afternoon, Lazy Day, Bread, Fan, Morning.
Dailylike definitely had my favorite selection of stickers. I think the characters are so cute. I love their expressions and how mundane most of the scenes depicted are. My favorite has to be the Fan one, which is in the middle of the bottom row. How relatable. The sheets are Morning, Afternoon, and NightBread and Lazy Day; and Fan.
Dailylike Good Morning and Tokyo Shiba sticker sheets.
More jumbo stickers! I'm really looking forward to using these in my journal. I have no clue when I'll use the Good Morning sheet, but that giant stick of butter just called to me. I bought the sticker sheet on the right, Tokyo Shiba, exclusively for the tempura shrimp with a kitty face. I couldn't help myself.
These last four sheets are from brands I'd never heard of. I thought RoomRoom's Torn Paper Bear was just so charming: it shows bears peeking out from little tears and holes in the paper. Snail mail enthusiasts can definitely relate to the Rhino Friends Postal Delivery stickers (though I would hope that your dog doesn't attempt to eat your mail). As I'm sure you can tell, I'm a sucker for anything that has to do with baking or baked goods, so I had to get the Khakiz stickers packed with baking bears. And finally, I am a dedicated sipper of coffee and milk tea, so the Leopard and Peach stickers will get use very soon. I don't really drink fruit smoothies, but I'm sure I'll find a time to use those stickers too.

That's all for my first 10x10 "haul." I probably won't finish using up these stickers anytime soon (not when I still have... a lot of other stickers), but I'm looking forward to browsing 10x10 again and finding some new and cute stationery to add to the collection.

By the way, if you'd like to order from 10x10 yourself, it can be a little tricky. I watched this video on YouTube and it helped a lot. The step that took the most troubleshooting was the final one: as it turns out, you need a specific kind of fraud protection (referred to as 3D Secure on the website but now called Visa Secure) on your card in order for 10x10 to accept your order. Essentially this is a service offered by some banks that sends you a text message warning you of fraud when you attempt to make a purchase. When you confirm that it was you making the order, you can make it again and it will go through. My coworkers' cards didn't have this, but my Chase card did, so I was able to make the order fairly easily. I'd recommend giving your financial institution a call if you're not sure if your card has this, but I'll warn that some banks may not even know that it exists...
